What a comfort to know that 911 is just a phone call away in the time of need. The beauty of 911 is that people have the liberty to call for any emergency, even for the rescue of a cat stuck in a tree.
Financial emergencies do not come perfectly packaged, nor do they warn us of its arrival. But one thing for sure, you can always count on them coming when everything in life is going well. Unfortunately, this is where 911 won’t help.
To bear the brunt of financial mishaps, simply put away enough funds that will match your current expenses for either 3, 6 or 9 months and leave it for emergencies.
It’s comforting to know that 911 is there to help us with our cat. It’s even more comforting knowing that when the water heater goes out in the middle of the night, we can replace it the next day.
