Weight Loss For Women

So, you want to lose some weight eh? Well you know there aren’t any shortcuts, no quick weight loss schemes ever really work. It all comes down to proper nutrition and exercise, whether you’re a man or a woman.

Some people are genetically predestined to have fantastic muscular or thin bodies. Other people, well, not so much, the less fortunate have to work harder at it. Whether you want the ripped abs or the slim sleek look, or just want to have an appropriately weighted body in decent shape, most people have to work hard to achieve those goals.

If you feel that you are overweight, or if you know for a fact that you are, and want to lose weight, it is always advisable to talk to your doctor and make sure you are healthy enough for exercise (some people have medical conditions that may prevent them from performing strenuous activities) and talk to them about your caloric needs. When given the ok you can either take it upon yourself to learn proper nutrition and do the research necessary to design a proper exercise regimen or you can hire a personal trainer or join a gym.

Often when you join a gym your membership will include the assistance of a trainer and dietician that is on staff to help members with their exercise programs and dietary needs in order to maximize their efforts. Unfortunately, more often than not when a person joins a gym they usually think of “too” many excuses not to go. I’m too busy, too tired, it”s too late, I’m too fat so I’m too embarrassed to go.

Some people can afford to go the extra mile and hire a personal trainer; this person should be certified or licensed, as a dietician and as a trainer. The personal trainer will structure a diet to fill your nutritional needs properly while providing the correct number of calories that, along with an exercise regimen, will help you to lose the weight desired as well as get you into proper physical condition.

Weight loss for anyone, male or female, comes down to the basic ideology that caloric intake cannot exceed caloric use. In other words, if you eat 3000 calories a day and sit around watching television all day you are most likely going to experience weight gain.

Proper nutrition from eating a balanced diet, cutting back on fatty foods, sweets and carbohydrates, (your body turns carbohydrates into sugars, sorry all you bread and pasta lovers) decreasing your caloric intake and exercising is the right way to lose weight. the average adult female only needs about 1500 calories daily and if you do not get much exercise this number can be decreased somewhat.

Exercising can be as simple as taking a short 15 minute daily walk to start with and then you can work your way up to more a serious routine as your stamina improves. Riding a bicycle is another excellent yet simple exercise for just about anyone to get back in better condition.
